"Laminate" (or "Laminate Flooring") Also known as the 'flooring from hell'. Although this kind of flooring is apparently somewhat trendy and fashionable, the noise it can produce for neighbouring properties can be extremely disturbing and anti-social. Laminate floors have increased numbers of complaints concerning general noise issues from neighbouring residents in many different communities.
"Legislation" Otherwise known as law(s). Legislation is the actual process of legislating or lawmaking. Legislation is a implemented (e.g. The Crime & Disorder Act 1998) or proposed group of laws.
"Leylandii" A fast-growing
conifer which is often the cause of neighbour disputes. These light blocking
'hedges' can grow 1 metre per year.
Leylandii are an example of a genetically modified plant (Cupressocyparis
Leylandii was born in south Wales in 1888, the unplanned offspring of Monterey
Cypress and Alaskan Cedar) which literally have grown out of control, taking
over a garden totally and all its neighbouring plant life.
Blocking the right to light and swamping neighbour views, Leylandii is often
termed the 'hedge from hell'.
