Assault
We're talking physical assaults here, even though you may feel subject to
a mental assault if you're dealing with an anti-social situation. It is
most definitely illegal and an offence if a person is assaulted or even
threatened with such an assault.
Hostile acts cause a fear of attack from most individuals and this is assault.
Assault and 'battery' (this is the actual force of a physical assault) is
a term you've probably heard.
Those that think it's clever to assault someone and where it leads to ABH
(Actual Bodily Harm) can find themselves in prison for up to 5 years. Ask
