"Fireworks" The 'legal'
explosive of Fireworks, supposedly subject to the Fireworks Act 2003 where
it is against the law to carry fireworks in public if you're under 18, against
the law to throw or set off fireworks in the street, an offence to let fireworks
off during night hours (11pm to 7am), except on Bonfire Night (midnight),
Diwali, New Year, and Chinese New Year (1am) - Source: DTI.
"With anti-social behaviour often comes the misuse of fireworks, both
within local communities and on individual's own properties" (NFHiB)
The misuse of fireworks as an 'abusive weapon' and as a 'toy' appears to
be a huge anti-social problem.
"Football Abuse" The
common practice where a group or individual of any age (normally younger
people?) will persistently annoy another neighbour or member of the community,
while 'pretending' to play football and in reality be using the sport to
deliberately annoy another through the use of noise or 'loutish'
behaviour.
The practice of repeatedly kicking a football on a neighbour's wall, door
or property is similar to the practice of 'chinese water torture' where
the receiver of the unwanted behaviour is seriously disturbed (or noise
abuse). The instigators of this behaviour can cause much harassment
and annoyance to other parties.
